Paula settles against Sinton’s Mill for £33,750.00

Paula’s Hearing Loss Claim against Sinton’s Mill settles for £33,750.00.  Paula worked at Sinton’s Mill in Tandragee between 1980 and 1985 as a Spinner.   During the course of her employment, she used spinning machines in both the spinning room and the doffing area.  Her work exposed her to loud and constant noise and unfortunately, she was not provided with any hearing protection which may have prevented her from sustaining noise damage to her hearing.

Paula had particular difficulty hearing conversation and would have listened to the television at elevated volume.  She also had a high pitched noise in both of her ears which would cause nightly sleep disturbance.

Paula’s friend recommended that she contact MMC Legal as they had successfully acted on behalf of a large number of former Sinton’s Mill employees in the Tandragee area.   MMC Legal arranged a Hearing Test for Paula which confirmed the presence of noise induced hearing loss and tinnitus.

MMC legal filed the case and initiated negotiations with the other side which lead to a successful settlement amounting to £33,750.00.  Paula was delighted with the payout and also, the fact that all legal costs were recovered from the other side.
